The short version: Movietta is free beta software. Use it, make videos, and own what you make. It may have bugs, so keep backups of footage you care about. Don't use it for anything illegal.
These terms apply when you download or use the Movietta app or use this website. By doing either, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Movietta.
The beta
Movietta is in beta and is free to use while the beta lasts. Features may change, and we may end the beta or introduce paid plans later. If we do, we'll tell you before any charge applies. Nothing you've already made will be taken away.
Your license to use Movietta
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Movietta on Macs you own or control. Please don't resell, redistribute or rent the app, or remove its notices.
Your footage and videos
You own your footage and the videos you make with Movietta. We don't claim any rights to them, and because the app runs on your Mac, we never see them.
You're responsible for having the rights to the footage, photos and music you put into Movietta, including permission from the people who appear in it, and for how you share the results.
Included music
The music tracks that come with Movietta are royalty-free, so you can use them in videos you post, personal or commercial. If you bring your own music, its license is up to you.
AI models
Movietta uses open AI models that run on your Mac (Qwen3-VL or Gemma 3). Each model is made available by its creator under its own license, and your use of the model is also subject to that license.
AI can make mistakes. It may pick a shot you wouldn't have, or describe a clip wrongly. Review your video before you share it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Movietta to make or share content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that harasses, deceives or exploits anyone.
No warranty
Movietta is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Beta software can crash or behave unexpectedly. Keep backups of footage that matters to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Movietta and its makers aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, footage or profits, arising from your use of the app or this website. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Movietta grows. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. If you keep using Movietta after a change, you accept the updated terms.
